Michael Leary, MD is continually learning the newest technology and studies to maintain the highest standards of patient care and physician training. We are proud to announce that J. Michael Leary, MD has obtained his certification in phlebology, the study of veins and venous disorders, and he is a diplomat of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. J. Michael Leary, MD is one of the very first physicians in the nation to meet the rigorous standards of education, experience and evaluation needed for certification by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine.

J. Michael Leary, MD is also board-certified in emergency medicine and had an outstanding career in a level one trauma center with a faculty appointment at the University of Virginia in 1989. He practiced emergency medicine at prestigious Eisenhower Medical Center from 1991 until establishing California Vein Specialists in 2002. He has obtained extensive postgraduate training in phlebology. Dr. Leary has been acknowledged as a leading Orange County vein specialist. He is also recognized for his skill in performing endovenous laser procedures and serves as a national physician trainer for the company that introduced the procedure.
